I’m a farmer-in-training with an entrepreneurial streak. I’m too pragmatic to be a hippie, and I’m too restless to sit behind a desk. I like solving problems and working hard. One day, I’d love to orchestrate some kind of farm and food operation. There’s a lot to learn, but I’m ridiculously determined. Sometimes, though, I’m a little too driven for my own good, so I make a conscious effort every day to relax and indulge. That’s why I love to cook (and be) with Hans; it gives me a chance to slow down and enjoy the more delicate things in life.
Since I was raised on TV dinners and pasta, cooking from scratch is a whole new world for me. But I recognize and value the connection between field and table, and I deeply enjoy every step in between.
