About Us

Just in case you’re wondering, this blog is written by two 20-something-year-olds who love food. Not just any food. Fresh food. We’ve been cooking together since we met, and now that we both work on a diversified, organic farm in the Southwest, we enjoy cooking seasonally. And writing about it, too.

Food is an important part in both of our lives. We love cooking together and sharing the joys that it creates. It’s a bonding experience that we look forward to every day. And when you’re committed to cooking seasonally in a society that emphasizes convenience, we find that the challenge of going against this grain makes every day (and every meal) a more satisfying experience.

Ultimately, we like knowing where our food comes from, and we especially enjoy taking it from seed to harvest to our dinner table. We’re not master chefs or farming experts. But we certainly love what we do, and we try to get better at it each day.

“I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it.” -Pablo Picasso
